The over-arching aim of this three year project is the creation and restoration of wetland habitats for the benefit of the characteristic species of the Severn Vale including snipe, lapwing, curlew, redshank and water vole. Specific aims include: 20km bank-side fencing installed to protect key habitats and species 450 willows pollarded to reduce over-shading on watercourses 45km hedgerow favourably managed for the benefit of wildlife 5 water control structures installed to retain water for the benefit of wildlife 15km watercourses re-profiled and cleared of overshading
