Whichers Gate Bridle Route – Repairs

The creation of a safe route for all non-motorised users along 800 meters of bridleway by upgrading it to provide a 3 meter multi-user track with hardcore filling and scalpings and fine gravel topping. This track has a clay sub-soil and at present is only passable in very dry periods of weather forcing people to use a very busy road with fast moving traffic. The key importance of the proposal is that this route takes riders off this dangerously busy highway and connects to an existing all weather route at Havant Thicket via Rowlands Castle;
