Whinney Hill Phase 2

This is a habitat and access project on a woodland and pond site adjacent to the Whinney Hill landfill site in Accrington, Lancashire. Works will include a first ‘thin’ of the existing woodland, installation of a link to an existing footpath to create a ‘loop’, a habitat survey of the site pond, a series of 20 volunteer activities/events on site, a new access gate to deter motorbikes, new habitat homes, seating benches and noticeboard and control of invasive species on site.
