White Rose Forest – Dalton Bank

Dalton Bank is a 50 acre award-winning Local Nature Reserve, important wildlife habitat and fantastic educational site, crossed by public footpaths. This project will further enhance the site through the creation of oak-based community woodland and associated infrastructure on this steeply-rising bank (75-150 metres) overlooking outer Huddersfield – to provide accessible countryside with benefits for all. The work will be undertaken in support of the 12 Key Actions of the White Rose Forest Partnership Strategy 2009-2012, in particular to extend the accessible green infrastructure of the Leeds City Region.
