Whitehead Hall Meadow Millennium Green Trust Restoration & Access Project

We will enhance & conserve 5.58 hectares of grassland, woodland & wetland through a programme of scrub removal, hay cutting habitat extension & creation. Millennium Green’s biodiversity will benefit from the improvements and it will enhance a vital stepping stone habitat between the internationally important mosslands to the south and the fenscape wetlands to the north. We will improve 660m of public and disabled access throughout the site. Through a series of events and training opportunities for local volunteers, the project will empower the community to take pride & ownership in their local green space, ensuring its future.
