Whitstable Castle – Play Area

The existing ‘Pirates’ Cove’ Play Area, is a unique and extremely well used space, which is suffering from excessive wear and tear and degrading of the surfaces and structures. The project addresses these underlying problems whilst taking the opportunity to extend and enhance facilities.
This project is for all necessary site & landscape works including clearing, excavation, regrading, reconstruction & resurfacing of the play area, and an adjacent location which will provide improved access as well as new opportunities for younger and less able users.
The latest RPII safety inspection identified issues arising from degradation of some of the landscaping elements. Left unattended safety will be compromised within the coming year with the potential for having to shut down the PA.
