Whittle Spinney - Improvements for Users

Whittle Spinney 6 acres of mature woodland bound by housing and the M61. It is a green oasis for people and wildlife, open at all times to the general public. Due to heavy usage, sections of path have become wet and muddy and the well-used entrances have reached the end of their lifespan. We aim to scrape off, clear and resurface approximately 600m of existing path; upgrade approximately 200m of grass path; improve seven entrances, replacing rotten infrastucture with kissing gates; replace fencing and replace timber steps and a handrail.
