Wicken Fen Vision – acquisition and restoration of Hurdle Hall Farm and Water Level Management works

The acquisition of 42 hectares of land, known as Hurdle Hall Farm, as part of the Wicken Fen Vision. The project will also include the capital works required to restore Hurdle Hall Farm to wetland and additional engineering works to raise the water table on Hurdle Hall Farm and adjacent Burwell Fen (168 hectares acquired in 2001 ) creating 210 hectares of UKBAP priority habitat and enhancing populations of at least eight UKBAP priority species within twenty five years
