The project aims to install measures to reduce the buildings carbon footprint. Works include replacing inefficient lighting with PIR sensord LED replacements, modifying the heating system by installing automatic start-stop, weather compensation and zonal controls, condense the size of the cellar and install new energy efficient cooling unit, and install a solar array system on the roof to generate their own electricity. These alterations will be the first major steps to creating a environmentally and financially sustainable community building.
