Wilderness Island Access Project

The aim of this project is to improve access to the site. Some of the paths are in poor condition with tree roots making them very uneven and subject to widening as people try and avoid the worst points. There will be better access to the northern part of the reserve where some of the most hazardous stretches of path are located, and where the sedge fen in particular suffers erosion through people deviating from the paths.
