Wildife and Mini-beast Garden at Chertsey Museum

The aim of the project is to create a nature garden at Chertsey Museum where mini-beasts and wildlife will be encouraged to live. Carefully selected plants and flowers will encourage creatures such as butterflies, ladybirds, bees and hedgehogs into the garden. Once the habitat has been established natural wooden houses that encourage creatures to nest, will be purchased and installed. These ‘houses’ are specially designed with Perspex viewing points so that people can look through ‘windows’ to see what the creatures are doing inside. Trails and information will be provided for members of the public to look around the garden and learn about different creatures and their natural habitats.
