Wildlflowers for the Meadows – Chipping

This project aims to produce hundreds of wildflower plug plants grown from seed collected in Bowland hay meadows and verges. In turn these will be used to enhance Bowland hay meadows and nectar patches through volunteer-led propagation and planting of purpose grown plug plants from locally collected wildflower seed . We will also contract a number of local social enterprise nurseries to grow plug plants from our seed, thus assisting their future economic viability. The project aims to create a sustainable future for our wildflowers as we will work with members of Chipping in Bloom who will be trained and supported. We will create a series of mini films based on our seed collection and growing training courses, which will act as a permanent and shared resource for the future.
