Wildwood Dormice

Wildwood will provide top of the range captive breeding facilities for 9 pairs of hazel dormice at Wildwood, with an additional stable population in a carefully managed enclosure on public display. This will be used for training programmes for land managers to learn about this BAP registered and highly endangered species, and to train volunteers in setting nesting boxes and monitoring established wild populations.
