Wilkinson Monument Project, Lindale

The structure is of cast iron and painted black. It is bolted to a stepped plinth and has a memorial inscription from which the words ‘here lies’ were removed (presumably when the monument was moved to its present site).
This part of the project is regarding the upkeep and long term preservation of the monument and enhancing its appearance as a focal point in the village.
