Willesley Wood, Ashby de la Zouch -

Willesley wood is a 56.6ha site set within the rolling landscape of the National Forest. With 100,000 people within a 20 minute drive – it provides an accessible natural amenity for many people in the Leicestershire area. Consultation has been carried out with local organisations (National Forest Company, local councils, focus groups, schools) and the community responses has revealed that installing a new circular surfaced path would increase accessibility and encourage more visits. We are working closely with the National Forest to build on and incorporate this woodland into the existing successful National Forest experience.
