Williams Field Play Areas Development

The project will be undertaken at Williams Field and is located within an area of social housing. The Skate Park, Swing Set and other facilities at present:- have limited ramps which are too far apart,- some of the equipment is beyond its useful life, this is especially true of the swing sets which currently do not meet DDA standards which will be addressed with the new equipment which includes a basket seat,- appeals to a limited age range. The new proposal in which local children have assisted with the new design which incorporates:- additional ramps that will enable the user to gain momentum to run the whole course,- the chosen layout and equipment will be versatile and offer a wider range of opportunities allowing skateboarders, BMXing and inline skating which will extend usage not only for the children but for adults too.
