Willoughton Play Area

The Parish Council would like to refurbish the area with new swings, and slides, etc. They would also like to install more benches so that the area can be used by families as a communal space and encourage a sense of community cohesion. As the area is in a rural location, minimal ground surfacing will be used and the applicants will retain as much of the natural grass as possible to ensure no loss of biodiversity will occur. Trees and shrubs will be retained.
There is no other play facility for the village children within walking distance and parents have to drive their children to nearby Towns and villages for them to play. By refurbishing this area, the applicants can provide a safe, enjoyable area for all the children to benefit from.
