Willowmead Nature Reserve - Improving Visitor Access and the Wildlife Experience

The aim of this project is to address the damage to the nature reserve and fully restore access for visitors. HMWT will remove the broken and dangerous boardwalks and fallen trees and build new boardwalks and bridges in more secure and sustainable positions. Boardwalks and bridges will be installed by teams of volunteers and trainee reserve officers supported by the Reserve Officer. The works and activities will raise the profile of the site within the local community and will allow safe access, enabling people to enjoy the wildlife and the natural environment for years to come.
