Willows High School, Cardiff, Astroturf

The Astroturf pitch facility situated at Willows High School, Cardiff was installed in 2000. The facilty is for use by pupils during school hours but is also used as a public amenity in the evenings, weekends and during school holidays. The pitch has fallen into disrepair and is in urgent need of remedial works. This will involve the removal of silt that has, over a period of time been impregnated into the surface carpet. The Astroturf will be flooded by a high pressure hose and then power vacuumed to remove the debris and excess sand. Additional sand will then be spread and the pitch remarked. The (full size) pitch caters for football, hockey and two tennis courts.
