Willsbridge Mill – Improvements and Building Work

Willsbridge Mill (Grade II listed) is located within a nature reserve run by Avon Wildlife Trust. The ground floor is used for environmental education with its heritage exhibition, the middle floor is a space available for community hire and the top floor is available as an office let. To finance the maintenance costs for the whole building, AWT need the rental/hire costs from the top two floors. However, there is a desperate need to improve the buildings heating provision. This includes enclosing the stairwell and insulation of the roof by installation of a false ceiling. This one off capital grant, after which the building would be self-sustaining, would enable heat retention within the building and improve energy efficiency. LTCS monies £25000 only)
