Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club – New Landing Stage

Our aim is to rebuild the current river landing stage to improve river access for all, to make access easier encouraging greater participation and to protect and stabilize the river bank.
Currently we have an active canoe and kayak club, but have a difficult access to the river either via a fairly steep slipway or via a small and degrading landing stage, making access to the river potentially challenging for the able bodied and very difficult for the young or individuals with a disability.
We have designed the required landing stage. If successful the grant will be used to purchase materials and the hire of any machinery/equipment. Labour will be from volunteers, members of the club or the surrounding community.
