Wimbledon Park Gate Replacement

Wimbledon Park is a Grade II Historic Capability Brown Park and is the only CB park in an urban setting. There are four entrances to Wimbledon Park, each with a complex set of gates. All four sets ae defective and need replacement. Because of their defective state, WP is regularly trashed by vandals. New gates will also improve accessibility to WP for wheelchair bound disabled and will improve pedestrian access to the park during the Wimbledon Fortnight. Total project cost is £50,280 plus vat. We are currently seeking funds from The All England Lawn Tennis CLub, The London Borough of Merton and yourselves. LBM have scheduled £12,000 toward this project. The All England will also contribute but we don’t know how much, so we are applying for the delta funds of £38,000
