Wind in the Willows 1

This project focuses conservation effort on restoration management of fen, marsh and swamp habitats of our SSSI reserves in the northrn Brue Valley. The extent of this habitat has declined significantly in the last 50-60 years due to agricultural and drainage improvements. The Brue Valley is an internationally important area for wildlife and is designated a SPA under th EC Birds Directive. The financial support will fund the capital infrastructure necessary to help address the long term viability of our reserves through improved management to help us maintain and recover conservation priority species in their natural habitat.
