Winding Hough Mill – Swannington, Leicestershire

The project will bring to life a presently static windmill by freeing the mill’s cap, which is currently bolted down, and installing a fantail and gearing, thus enabling it to constantly turn to face the wind.
Once the project has completed, the mill’s volunteers plan to set about restoring the mill’s sails, so returning it substantially to its original configuration.
