Wistlandpound Activity Trail

The Calvert Trust wish to develop a fully accessible perimeter trail around Wistlandpound Reservoir to enable people with disabilities to achieve their potential through the challenge of outdoor activities.

The existing path is very difficult to navigate and not suitable for users with mobility problems. This has limited the sites development, despite the fact that this is one of the few inland lakes in North Devon. The location and natural heritage means the project has huge potential to offer the local community and visitors to the Calvert Trust Exmoor. Wistlandpound has recently been included in the Local Plans as an Area of Great Landscape Value (AGLV) and is also a designated Winter Bird Reserve
