Within’s Goit – Restoration and Refurbishment

Within’s Goit is a man-made water course constructed in the 19th Century to supply water to the East Lancashire Paper Mill. It has fallen into disrepair so the project aims to restore the fabric of the Goit and to improve the environment by
– closing off the sluice gate,
– restoring footpaths across the goit,
– fencing to improve safety and reduce litter and
– landscaping the area
