Wolsingham Bowling Club

Wolsingham Bowling Club aims to promote, foster and safeguard Outdoor Green Bowls.
The group is requesting the funding to pay for the installation of an automatic irrigation system. Under the current system the club is putting unreasonable demands on the members who volunteer to water the green as they are required to commence watering at 6 am on the morning of play and / or 10 pm the night before. With the automatic watering system the services of volunteers and members can be put to better use.
In addition to reducing the time spent by members manually watering the green, the club expects the new system to allow them to have a better quality green, raise the profile of the Recreation Ground and attract wider community involvement, in particular being able to host representative games.
