Wood Lane Community Centre, West Bromwich – Improvements (007076)

The projects aim is to update and refurbish the tired community centre which will create a bespoke and fit for purpose area for young people to be able to have a youth provision where the applicants can run a wide range of activities from, which includes positive leisure and learning activities, space to enjoy and relax, to socialise and feel safe and which is attractive and welcoming. The capital refurbishment will provide in addition to the space for young people, space and resources in which adult members of the community will also benefit through the space becoming a well set out and resourced training room during day time with a digital hub, used by adults and older people in the daytime and young people for a homework club after school. The building will be able to better meet the needs of the wider community and enhance the appearance internally and externally making inspiring and vibrant spaces and much needed community resource.
