Woodkirk Parish Centre

The Centre is a prime local community asset. it is strategically-located alongside a major dual carriageway on the boundary of three metropolitan districts (Wakefield, Leeds, Kirklees) opposite to three landfill sites. A three stage improvement plan is agreed and ready for implementation. The Centre’s popularity and visibility is ensured, not only by its location but by its co-location with St Mary’s Church. It is supprted by a substantial community of non churchgoers who won a top greenspace award in 2004.
