Woodland Centre – Ruislip Woods

The project will provide an interactive visitor centre for these Ancient Woodlands. Interpretation will be designed and installed by professional museum designers into the exhibition area of the Woodland Centre building. The installations aim to provide a stimulating environment for casual learning and a starting point for more formal learning – ie school visits. The Centre sits in a very busy area next to an inland beach but also withing the Ancient Woodlands of Ruislip Woods. The remit of the displays is to educate both children and adults about the Woods, their history, their wildlife and how to care for them. It is hoped that more people will explore the Woodlands in an informed way and will value them more.
