Woodland Restroration at Bagger Wood

Although rhododendron removal has been taking place at the wood, the time is now right to complete the clearance of rhododendron to enhance the biodiversity of the wood and curtail the invasion of this non-native species. In addition we wish to carry out works to thin the coniferised areas in the wood during 2009, allowing more light to the woodland floor, encouraging native flora to rejuvenate and enhancing the biodiversity of the site.
This project will also see improvements to access through path and entrance works within the wood.
