Projects / Woodland Walk – Crawford Village

Woodland Walk – Crawford Village

The project will create a woodland walk and outdoor learning / play area for the local community in Crawford Village. This will include reclaiming and managing unusable woodland around the edges of the community playing field. The project will involve introducing a woodland management programme, enabling pockets of woodland to be opened up for use by the local community, whilst enabling trees, shrubs and wildlife to thrive. Other works include path installation and hard landscaping involved in the creation of three learning / play ‘zones’ within the site:
Zone 1 – Forest fun – to include a log cabin, forest canopy, mushroom seating and a fire pit
Zone 2 – Explore area – to include a mud kitchen, bug hotel, climbing pyramid and willow sculptures
Zone 3 – Music maker – to include a petal drum and penta post percussion equipment
