Woodland Welfare at Brockholes

This 18 month project is a start point in addressing the significant threat of Ash die-back at Brockholes. Initially it entails assessing the woodlands (containing high proportions of ash, but used for education and public engagement) and compiling a ‘Brockholes Ash Dieback Action Plan’ in accordance with The Tree Council’s national guidance. It then entails purchasing capital items to facilitate felling and processing diseased trees, and commencing ‘Phase 1 practical implementation’. Part of the practical phase entails reinstating biodiversity value through extensive tree planting and refuge heap creation.
