Woodlands Hill, Near Holford – Access Improvements

The project aim is to improve and promote access and the provision of information to Woodlands Hill from the current lay-by off the A39 which is popular with motorists but requires modification to improve the facility to fulfil this function. It would also provide community benefit by improving provision of access to Woodlands Hill. The project objectives would be as follows:

1. Enlarge the existing car park / access area and redesign to prevent large vehicles parking in such a manner as to block all other access.
2. Improve the entrance / exits to the area to safely accommodate vehicles.
3. Put in new track to link area with bridleway and create option for circular walk / ride and options for further exploring the Quantock Hills.
4. Provision of information on the AONB / National Trust and access including promoted circular walk.
