Woodoaks hedgelaying

Woodoaks Farm is owned by the Soil Association (a registered charity) who are turning it into an organic community farm. This part of the project plans to restore and plant a significant amount of hedgerow – 1 km. Successful hedge planting is dependent on protective fencing from both deer and rabbits, and this project will install the fencing and a significant volunteer effort will then plant the hedge plants between the fencing. The hedgerows will: Improve habitats for wildlife, increase fertility in soils, Improve resilience to climate change and engage local communities.
