Woodside Access and Enjoyment

We want to improve visitor access to more of our land there and create opportunities to enjoy the site.
We will install signs to help with species identification and awareness of the surrounding habitats. Also improve signage to draw people off the beaten track.
We have some sculptures on the reserve but more of these will encourage better exploration of the site on a self-guided circular route and a chance to touch, climb and rest on them. We will also install benches.
Some of the paths on the reserve get high levels of visitor traffic, essential resurfacing works will allow all year round access for all. Changing stiles to kissing gates will allow better access. One particularly steep section of path has become muddy and inaccessible, this will be resurfaced and steps installed.
We will create a learning area where visitors can enjoy a peaceful forest withbird and bat boxes, hibernacula for reptiles and mammals and feeding stations for birds and invertebrates.
