Wootton Recreation Ground, Bedfordshire – New Play Equipment (006055)

The current playground is primarily for children over 5 and there are issues with access/use when the ground becomes muddy/wet.

The project plans to extend the playground to provide equipment for 0-5 years olds, children with disabilities/special needs and those on the autistic spectrum.

The aim is to fully enclose the playground and to provided “wetpour” surfaces under/ and around the new equipment, linking these with pathways to make the area more accessible in wet and cold weather. The site is on the Wootton Bus Route and has a good car parking facility.
