Worksop Cycleway 5943/D

This project will create a 1.8km up-graded, direct, off road walking and cycling route into Worksop Town Centre. The path will use Route 6 of the National Cycle Network, on the Chesterfield Canal towpath. This route passes from the end of the ERDF funded Shireoak's Sustrans Link into Worksop Town Centre. The project will provide a 2m wide, quality spray and chip surfaced path will support the following groups, all year round, whether as part of their routes to work or leisure activities: * The local populations of Worksop North West and surrounding wards as a local cycle/pedestrian route. * Boating customers visiting Worksop. * Users of the NCN Route 6 and the Cuckoo Way long distance path to Chesterfield
