Wormit – Balmerino Nature Trail

The project aims to create a 4km nature trail from the Tay Road Bridge at Wormit to Balmerino. The objective is to upgrade the existing, unmade public right of way to a sound, barrier free path while maintaining the natural setting of this spectacular rural, coastal walk. As the route borders the Tay Estuary visitors will have the opportunity to discover the outstanding geodiversity and biodiversity of this intenationally important area, as well as the plants and animals to be found along the path.
The nature trail will become part of the extension of the Fife Coastal path from the Tay Bridge to Newburgh, Fife.
