Wotton-under-Edge Swimming Pool Refurbishment

This is a project to refurbish the 60-year old changing room building at Wotton-under-Edge Swimming Pool. The applicant has considered a new construction, but that is prohibitively expensive and disruptive. Therefore the plans are to repair and re-clad the existing structure; replace the asbestos cement roof with a modern material, which can then be used to make an integral thermal solar panel to heat the pool water. A veranda will also been added to provide shelter for parties and waiting parents, and incorporate the current ‘gatekeeper’s hut’ into the structure.
