Wyre Coastal Path

Improve and extended the Wyre Estuary Coastal Path to link Fleetwood Town Centre and the Wyre Estuary Park at Stanah. Creating a multi use path will offer local residents and workers access to a wider network of paths and amenities providing alternative sustainable travel and leisure opportunities through public open space for the enjoyment of walking, running, cycling and horse riding within a nature reserve rich in diverse plant life and habitat. The Wyre Estuary is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with a Biological Heritage Site located within the boundaries of the proposed Coastal Path. Works on the Wyre Estuary Coastal path have been divided into 4 distinct areas. Section1, Wyre Estuary Country Park, Stanah Park to the Lagoons south of Jameson Road Section 2, Fleetwood Road to UU's path at Jameson Road bridge Section 3, UU works to Fleetwood Marsh Nature Park. Section 4, Lagoons to Fleetwood Road
