Projects / Yeading Brook Meadows River Restoration

Yeading Brook Meadows River Restoration

This project aims to enhance and restore the section of the Yeading Brook, enabling it to become a more natural, self-regulating and biodiverse river corridor. Through the diversification of the river channel’s structure, and through planting and natural colonisation, we will be providing the conditions for biodiversity to thrive along this highly modified stretch of river. The project will meet contribute towards meeting BAP habitat restoration targets for River & Streams priority BAP habitat, whilst creating a more attractive and interesting river corridor for local people to enjoy. Additionally, the project will also help meet objectives of the Water Framework Directive by moving this stretch of the Brook towards good ecological potential.
