Yorkshire Wild about Water(Oakwell Hall Country Park)

Improving biodiversity of site by creating a network of ponds some for educational/recreation and others less accessible which will be managed for wildlife. The site is currently a stronghold for toads and we wish to build on this with new ponds, Improvements to adjoining marshy areas and sympathetic planting to encourage reed and grasshopper warbler etc.The work would also include a raised walkway overlooking the ponds and the wider landscape beyond. An environmental education pond would be created (with access path and dipping platform) to relieve pressure on the existing ponds and increase capacity for school activities on site
