Z-Squared: Construction Materials From Waste

The Z-Squared project aims to turn cutting edge thinking on waste and resource efficiency into a living working example of sustainable living for 5000 people within the Thames Gateway. Eb Nationwide is currently funding this concept development. As part of its Zero Waste Principles, the z-squared project aims to maximise the use of construction materials with reclaimed and recycled content. This project sees to scope the potential for use of recycled construction materials and explore the feasibility of delivering a supply infrastructure to service Z-squared and developments throughtout the Thames Gateway. The project will establish the volume of construction materials for Z-Squared and draw up a specification for existing and potential reclaimed or recycled products that could be incorporated into the build.
