The BBC's Inside Out West television programme recently featured a project funded by Viridor Credits from the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF).
You can watch the programme via the BBC iPlayer service until 25 March to see what a difference the LCF makes to local community and environmental projects.
The project, known as Bennett's Patch and White's Paddock, was funded under object DA of the LCF Regulations. Object DA seeks the conservation of a natural habitat or the conservation of a species in its natural habitat. This project specifically enabled Avon Wildlife Trust to purchase the lease for 12 acres of derelict land and turn it into a nature reserve.
