Consultation and focus group on the value for money questions

11 Mar 2014

We have launched a new consultation on the value for money (VFM) questions we ask and are inviting comments and feedback from all Environmental Bodies (EBs).

We have decided to revise the VFM questions which we ask all project applicants. Through this consultation exercise we are seeking views on whether the proposed new VFM questions are appropriate and whether any further changes are required to ensure we effectively capture the value delivered by the projects undertaken with Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) funds.  We will use this VFM data in our reports to HMRC on the value delivered by the LCF.

We have decided to change the stage at which we ask the VFM questions. For the year 2014/2015 onwards, these will be moved from project registration stage to project completion stage. This change will coincide with the reintroduction of a project completion form later in the year 2014/2015. There is more detail about these changes in the consultation paper. We have also included a draft project completion form for EBs to view.

EBs can respond to the consultation by emailing our Regulations team, through our online survey or through the post to:

ENTRUST,
60 Holly Walk,

The consultation is open until 11 April 2014 and we will also be holding a focus group to discuss this topic on 20 March 2014. To register to attend the focus group please email our Regulations team by 17 March 2014.

After reviewing the responses to the consultation document we will publish a summary of responses alongside a next steps report which will outline our position on the way forward. This report will be available on our website.
