Belfast Hills Invasive Plants Management Project (Cavehill Country Park)

Invasive plant species can become the major threat to key nature conservation sites. Many sites in the Belfast Hills have been hit by invasive species. This research will identify key problem invasive plant species, raise awareness, identify a control and prevention plan for upland habitats which will lead to practical site removal through volunteer events. Final outcome will be the establishment of monitoring and prevention systems.
