Review of the ENTRUST Training Strategy 2021/2022

5 Apr 2022

ENTRUST continues to run an annual training programme for stakeholders which we consider helps to coach Environmental Bodies (EBs) to compliance and delivers Value for Money (VfM).

As part of our internal quality assurance programme, we are pleased to publish a review of our 2021/2022 training programme, which highlights the events and activity that took place through the year and the resulting feedback scores from attendees. The full report can be accessed on the right hand side of this page.

ENTRUST Basic Training courses are free of charge and are now held online. We have recently published the following 2022/2023 dates:

  • 14 June 2022
  • 12 October 2022
  • 9 February 2023

Individuals can review the training dates and book to attend through our website. We can also offer bespoke training courses for EBs wishing to train multiple staff. To discuss this please email Helpline@entrust.org.uk with your requirements and a member of the team will get back to you.

If you are not able to attend a training course, or there is not a date which suits you, EBs can also use our EB Online Training Module. The module covers the basic knowledge required to participate within the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF), the regulatory requirements surrounding LCF funding, the obligations and responsibilities of an enrolled EB, and takes individuals through a series of questions to test and improve their knowledge. It is beneficial for all newly enrolled EBs along with new staff or volunteers at existing EBs. or anyone who wants a refresher of the obligations and requirements of the LCF.

The training section of our website is available on the 'Need Help' tab where stakeholders can find the introductory videos and the above Online Training Module. Our collection of online resources and 'How to' guides are also available on our website.

We continually review our training resources, if you would like a guide on a specific topic or you can't find what you need, please email helpline@entrust.org.uk or call us on 01926 488 300 for support and guidance.
