Abbotshaugh Community Woodland Sustainability

The aim of the project is to maintain and enhance the existing Community Woodland as a recreational and educational amenity for the local community. A new section of path will be constructed and the existing path network will be upgraded, allowing access for a wider range of path users. Seating, waymarkers and interpretive panels describing the local history, wildlife interest and project aims will be provided to enhance the site as an educational resource. Litter removal, path inspection, maintenance and grass cutting will help ensure the long term success of the project.
