Change Makers of the Struggle Against Apartheid

Make publicly accessible under-known stories of people who fought against apartheid, demonstrating the power of international solidarity and collaboration whilst inspiring cross-cultural understanding and redressing representational bias in cultural heritage. The Centre of Memory and Learning will include a permanent gallery that centres on our History Makers exhibition – ‘Change Makers of the struggle against apartheid’ – which explores the AAM (British Anti-Apartheid Movement) through the perspective of a selection of 10 of the diverse peoples who led change through this powerful mass movement and setting their history-making actions in the context of the wider history of the South African liberation struggle.
